Graduation Gogles

When you make the graduation list on tertiary education,it formally  marks the end of your 8.4.4 education, its one of the best feelings. Realisation hits you proper when you have to clear & your sent to corners of the institution that have never before ventured to just to get a signature.
Let me first explain the title of my post, those or most of you who have had relationships have experienced a time when - for lack of a better wording - shit hit the fan, and things are working out, you opt to end it, a person always has second thoughts and most of the time this is brought about by flashing back to good memories while in the relationship. Often than not leds to the couple regressing for the fear of being alone & remembering the good times. Now that's relationship gogles. The worst times even seem great especially if you both stuck things through and made it out stronger. The flash backs are especially effective when they are instagramed in color & slow motion hehehe.
first instagram pic when I googled
At this juncture that's exactly what's am going through but with university. I waited for my name on the list, to separate from the common street sweeper or matatu driver. Truthfully its an Honor & as much as i dont want to sound like a proud person, its the harsh reality. How many watchmen out there have a degree really. It sets me apart from many many people. Am especially proud because its my hard earned Honor & not a purchased one. Enough guys haven't really made through, its not a breeze through for everyone & i have had my share of stumbles but thanx to God & my mother & friends its actually an achievement as far as am concerned.
Though times spent with friends make me miss the institution, my instagram sepia mode flash backs hardly are directed to lectures, the worst one of them I had to endure him all through out my university life, semester in semester out. #bullcrap gag reflex, that flash back is definitely in fast forward & hell flames surrounding.some credit is due for equipping me with some life skills obviously among other things.( its quit evident that I have a problem with sadistic authority).
In book of "art of war" by Sun Tzu, the success of a man is measured by the number of enemies they have......or something to that relation, am quoting not paraphrasing.
It feels particularly more rewarding when you prove some one who doubted you from the beginning when you accomplish something. In retrospect we should be thanking them because its motivation in a way.
As I make rounds to offices and corner that I have never been, every signature gets me closer to a photo pose in a gown with a piece of paper, family filled affair in celebratory mood, hopefully a pocket filling, card receiving, suit wearing day that I am very much looking forward to & what would make it even more enjoyable, friends.
Friends who have made this blog of mine one year from a week like this reach & influence a magnitude of people. Giving a smile( most of the time). Rare as they are, when I get to introduce myself and guys tell me how they have read my work, those are some proud moments that make me a happy man. So thank you readers for the retweets and sharing of my work, most importantly taking time out of your schedule to read what ever my distorted mind has to offer. In a way its also a graduation for my blog & as time passes by I just hope my work will be up to per and get better & when ever I can make you lovely audience of mine smile.

Birthday Re-cap: 12th September
its a sign-bday present
I was initially to end the post there on my birthday being this past 12th. My theme song on that day was 2chainz "all i want for my birthday is big booty gal". Wish was granted as I got a visit from my cousin and her big bootied friend of hers who came hangovered that early morning. I had no plan whatsoever after that. for a minute I thought the only markable situation that would be on my birthday was the rolling out of the iphone 5, good timing apple guys. I was doomed to have another boring birthday yet again for almost my fourth year running.
To my surprise I get a text and Facebook hits from my pals who have posed on the side, the call was to show up in westland and I didnt have any means  but i was determined not to have a boring one again so at 10 something I was in a jav heading t town then westie Santa Fe.
The ladies especially sang for being a karaoke at before midnight I was having a moderated fun, much better than I would be having at home anyway, i didn't even have cake.
Then the guys call me outside,on pretence they have a bottle of something & am like why not, it my birthday. At this time one of the ladies namely Annecy had asked for my phone, wile outside she then insisted for my wallet for something, my trusting ignorance led me to give it to her then one of the guys, "the evil one" acting drunk and occupied started handing compliments especially for my watch. While all this was transpiring I was next the the pond of water at the mall basement.
crazy guys

the pond
He then asked for my watch, so while we were waiting they then asked to have a sit. Suddenly there was a count down and everything went quiet, they shaved me in the pond. trickery at its best blogsphere, I went back in the club and for the reminder of the night I was dripping wet. From nothing to one of the best birthdays ever. am still laughing at myself.
as for the birthday weekend, the mingle was the place to be, picture and a recap to the event are being worked on so look out for that post.
Have good one, you guy (p-unit ft collo) that dendai.

Hardest jobs that look remotely easy

( Note I have not put them in any particular order or ranking, they are on freestyle).
1. Acting- likes of Brad Pitt, learning new skills- Bourne, becoming something totally different from who you normally are and morphing into someone else for example, Dracula- the guy who did that role killed himself because people feared him in real life. Its a risky job, a while back stunts where done by actors themselves unlike today where there are stunt doubles who are economic since insuring them costs way less than insuring a star, God forbid j- lo's ass got injured before a movie she should be in premiered. You would definitely be counting losses. The long time or before Superman got injured on set & is now paralyzed from the neck down.
Homestead hero Bruce Lee died on set. I haven't gotten to how the actors are trained to fit the directors vision of how they should look. Getting to be picked for a role in a movie is just the first part. Example the movie titans or Spartacus, those guys weren't that buff but they got a trainer supplements & in less than 3months you look like literally half a human half a god.I wont even go to the type of dieting they have to maintain. So when you see them on a red carpet or enjoy a movie, a good one. Appreciate not only the looks but talent & work that has been put in.
2. Radio presenter & T.V presenters. They wake up so early in the morning. They actually give watch men a reason to be awake when getting picked or dropped late night. If there's a watchman who has residents in the compound one who does early morning & the other who does late night then I really pity him- he features in this category for sure. Imagine having to talk constantly and about something interesting every day.
I don't even post blogs everyday & its still a challenging bit to write once a week. For t.v presenters, the amount of lights they have to endure while fully dressed is just torture enough, I should know considering am just about to get my degree in communication more specifically videography ( happy dance)
 3. Drivers; from F1 drivers to Matatu drivers.- considering they drive in heavy protection suits, helmet & most of the time in hot weather factoring in that they are in a machine that has immense torque and speed meaning the heat it produces isn't small. The only break they take to a stand still is when they do a pit stop and on average it take about 4 seconds, yes or even less. Going around a circuit for at least 40 laps and at break neck speeds. Whip lash is a risk, accidents considering their cars are weight controlled, any weight they can spare is usually eliminated so the car compared to what's on the road is almost feather weight to assure its faster. Then as if that's not enough the kind of fitness the drivers must adhere to is impeccable in order to withstand all that stress to the body & hence that would mean that they have to stick to a certain diet. Yep its that serious. So when you see Schumacher & Hamilton smiling on a podium and being one of the most paid sports men, give respect.
As for back home, matatu drivers might be the last guys home and first guys on the road just driving over & over during the day until night time. Definitely can't be an easy job & considering they don't have cruz control or can drive using a finger like you can do with a Benz ( yes I have had the privilege of begin behind the wheel of one, an unmatched experience driving German ).

4. Musicians. Especially live performers.- music brings a commonality among people of different race, nationality ethnic background. Beautiful music is a gate way to inner peace. The number of times I have dropped lines to ladies using music lyrics can be termed criminal. Hell I have had a girl who fancied me because I used to tell her things through music. Though we usually expect so much from artists. expectations that are even beyond our reach yet they already do a huge part. Its human nature to demand aesthetic beauty from a beautiful thing or person. ( I used thing because we more or less view musician celebrities as that and don't factor in they are only human.) Musician work hard to maintain their fans approval even when it doesn't seem so, they work hard to make it look like they don't care. Concerts especially, those who have done karaoke, sing three songs jokingly is exhausting...you can imagine doing it perfectly for 3hours to a crowd who expect their moneys worth leave alone a whole night. Yes, that to me is the reality.we should appreciate them a whole lot more in my opinion.
5. Book, magazine, newspaper writers.goes without saying.....men writing and pleasing your audience is fudging hard.
6. Chef -cooks. It is really offencive by the way to call a chef a cook, it like calling a Japanese Chinese or vice - versa.

While I was watching final destination 5, I realised how the kitchen is just a death trap or ticking time boom for injuries especially if its filled with many cooks/ chefs. How they manage to get food out is still a puzzle especially without blood or death. It like a well made watch like one my father friend has called an "armitron ". Things are so perfectly put together and its a work of art on the pieces that make it function just like a kitchen. Yea funny part cook & chef you all have the kitchen in common. Mad respect though.
7. Watch makers/repairer- I don't really whats their professional name, like a cobbler for watches might work. Anyway imagine the concentration they have to put in. Wah, that can make me go mad. Now I have a clearer understanding on how or Syler from the series heroes was made the confused character, Mara the protagonist then antagonist.
Its just mad. I also guess I understand why they listen to soothing music, coz the gears & clogs must work at full capacity & maybe the music is sort of a lubricant(am second guessing that choice of a word) lemmi go with cushion( though all you dirty minded people can work with either of those wordings and start evil thinking- I give up).

8.DJ- its seems easy & right now a bit populated but those of us born when cartridges were the only way to play games & duck hunt was heh, lemmi put it this way "God of war" wouldn't be enough for super Mario...he would just stump him dead get points a flower and move on hehehe.

In that era DJ Adrian who spinned music on a vinyl decks, as manuals as it gets, if he reins on the decks as a guest DJ or the main one, no one can even despite him. He has seen it all, he bought a freaking beetle those days. That was( having biased eyes) in my eyes an equivalent of a DJ rolling with a Benz or better yet a Hummer.

New school or old school DJ, rallying up a crowd and keeping them entertained with constant flow of music is not an easy job. Right now though some do it for 1/4 or half of the night but the likes of David Guerra trance and dance usually have weekend long concerts to the extreme week long guys just bumping( can't say dancing, its usually white dudes in plenty). Not having factored in that they have flown probably thousands of kilometres(miles to any Westerners reading this post- si waluhya) . Though props to all the djs who keep us company on lonely weekends on radio, those who rock the club until we want to drink the bar dry & not go home, who give us an escape, a cheap way of vacationing with fun in this economy & make us have a fudging good time.
9. Doctors : thanks to shows like Grey's Anatomy, you would think being one is such an easy fun thing with nurses & doctors having flirting days in & out. Though alot of inaccuracy, esp very few good looking women as interns while am not a doctor I know alot of very good looking ladies who are doing medicine & residency. The hard part though comes with the difference of environment compared to grey, Kenyatta hospital looks nothing, not even remotely close to how the fake hospital on set looks like, it's a much worse place, how doctors & residents get who work there wake up every day & go to work is just a mystery is beyond me but we should definitely appreciate them.
10.Cloth & ornaments designers- when we get to wear them and feel beautiful & handsome as such, or mix & match what's in our closets & wardrobes, we never get to think the ingeniousness, thoughts that was put in coming up with such. Its takes alot of man hours & vision to come up with things as intricate as dressing & ornaments. Both commonly put in use pins, I have large fingers & was born during the era where our primary school curriculum had home science where growing men such as myself learnt to sew, clean with detergents & cook. All which have come in hand more than the chemistry biology that I learnt while in secondary school. Though I can tell you that using pins & needles for a gentleman such as my self is hell, putting this into factor, phones with a basic keypad and small I find it difficult using considering I press three of the keys simultaneously.
So beautiful minds such as the guys who came up with black Jesus pieces, shamballa ,leso wear & guys like blackbird jeans, respect to their work and most importantly when their work major boarder on our country, it comes out beautifully.
leso designs
shamballa
blackbird
I urge them on and commend them. We definitely can't forget the stylists such as Silvia njoki( I have mentioned her in my previous post enough times, I hope she wont fault me for that, maybe I have a small crush).
11. Salonist( there's no such word by the way)- our generation confides & trust salonist & barbers more than they do pastors. Considering pastors the likes of Njoro, helicopter ministries are out there- CC my post on " inceptious pastor". They leave very little to go by. So when you have a trusted hair guy & they maintain your trust, one is very very loyal & have them on speed dial. Usually its even hard to cheat on them. In this age its one of the strongest commitment. Though consider how much time they spend standing up and the chemicals that runs through their hands especially black women use so many many hair products. Its actually a really viable investment area, you can't go wrong, its like starting a mortuary( can't escape death) . I regress but considering their working environment, salonist should have a really comprehensive medical cover.
12. Athletes: (kalenjin voice) my mother ran, my father ran now am a racist. The past Olympics much as we didn't to to our full potential they made us proud and hoisted the Kenyan flag high especially the captain, Rudisha vyatu vyetu. They make running look so easy. You would expect them being fatty challenge to just see a pair of lungs struggling but major disappointment because they are never short of breath. I dear any one of you to try running for just 12minutes at your own pace & see how you will do. Atleast as a rugby fit guy I can but sweating like a pig( do pigs sweat). Anyway, not much I can say about them considering you all witnessed what they can do, so I will leave their training to your imagination, how many man hours the do on the road. A profession is a profession & theirs pay exceptionally too well. support to our paraolympians should also be strong.
As its my birthday month & almost my 1 year anniversary since I started my blog, am particularly proud I have been able to keep you readers entertained and thank you for all your comments, retweets feed back & encouragement. Funny enough I had 12 listing on my post this time marking my birthday date ; ).
